Kettlebell

Kettlebell

A kettlebell is a ball with a handle. A heavy ball.

Some have said that the kettlebell (гиря) is Soviet Russia’s revenge for losing the cold war.

There’s no denying it’s a challenging workout. Do a kettlebell workout and you’ll swear you’ve been wrestling the entire Red Army.

Kettlebell is a ballistic workout. It’s perfect for training to increase both strength and endurance, especially in the abdominal core and posterior chain muscle groups. It’s a perfect complement for supercharging the muscles used most in Krav Maga.

Kettlebell is also unique in that it is metabolic training that combines aerobic and anaerobic activity; this means it is a very efficient form of training. It’s very effective for fat loss, and excellent at increasing striking power.

Kettlebell class

Is it a good option for those interested in bodybuilding? No. It is excellent for toning, but not the best choice for those wanting to increase bulk because there is little focus on the negative part of the repetition.

The other important consideration to remember about kettlebell training is that proper technique is absolutely crucial. Supervised training by a qualified instructor is important. Be sure to start your kettlebell with our qualified instructors, who have been highly trained to make sure you use good form that helps prevent injury and ensures great results.
