Edie, Bridget, Jennifer, and Donna spent some time with the young ladies of Girls Inc. during their Spring Camp. Girls Inc is a non-profit organization whose mission is, “Inspiring all girls to strong, smart, and bold.” The young women received some Krav Maga self-defense training while at the same time learning how to assertive and confident. We want to congratulate and bestow some special recognition on Edie for receiving the 2009 Excellence in Advocacy award from the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA). She received the award for “demonstrating outstanding advocacy on behalf of survivors or for changes in policies affecting survivors”.
